India’s police arrests two, confiscates 83kg of marijuana

A tip-off to the UP Special Task Force led to the arrest of two men in Kanpur, India.

The police were able to confiscate 83kg of marijuana worth over $300,000 CAD, the Business Standard reported on Sunday.

The seizure occurred after a tip-off was provided about a gang that was in operation in different Indian states: Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Assam, and Chhattisgarh, an official said.

The men arrested were Manoj Soni and Ramsiromani Kushwah from Madhya Pradesh.
